Just pay for any replacement. Get it going, and dump it as fast as you can. The engine harness for the engine should be fine, but just dump it. Move on to something else.. like a gen1 that doesn't have these same problems over and over.
When the cam phasers completely fail you will have the check engine light because things are getting out of time. Leading up to this, did you hear cold start rattle? This is a common problem on the 3.5 ecoboost and the dealer will replace parts. However, the jury is still out as to whether this...

What makes you want the KERS? I have seen you post it a few times, but the KERS is really only meant as a boost. This would be great on a small displacement, NA ICE. Many years ago, I played with this technology from a UK company, and that was all it was good for - short bursts of energy. It...
I thought you guys didn't want more power and satisfied with the current 450? I think many echoed the idea that over that was not useful? But, here are the folks that are trying to figure out how to get factory 710hp out of the 3.5 TT.
Sell it right now. You will have max value for the next month or so. After that, you will be fighting the latest raptor, next model rumors plus the TRX will start to show up in driveways.
There was a user here who posted a video of what happens if you don't address phasers. The engine will get out of time and will not be able to get itself back into time. Best to have the dealer replace, or document the problem for when you have to have them replaced.
Only RAM is for the hellcat TRX. Ford only currently has a test mules raptor out running around with 5 link rear coilscoil spring suspension and the powerboost engine (pictures showed the orange cabling under the truck). Ford has not put out anything other than there will be a raptor in 21. Take...
I would agree. I sat in a Ranger to see how it compared and it was not comfortable. I am not sure if they have different seats across the range of trim, but the one I sat in was not great.
The oil pan is a completely separate, known issue. The 17 - mid18 plastic oil pans were prone to leaking. It was such and issue that Ford went back to a metal pan.

When you have warranty costs that way over shoot the target.... as in $5B!!…… your investors are going to notice. This was why Farley was...
Thanks for the info. These pictures confirm that this was definitely not what I was hoping for. I was hoping for two engine options in the re-debut of the bronco (and in only one size - full size)…. a diesel like the F150 has, and a coyote.
It is most definitely hurting them. Their stock has done vastly worse than other manufacturers. This was attributed to much higher than expected warranty costs. They brought Farley up to handle these issues. He told investors to hold until they could present their "get well" plan.
I hope everyone is right that it will be nice. But, if you connect the dots with the information provided, I am afraid of what ford will put out. If the highest engine option is the 2.7, that would mean that it is basically a shortened ranger... and that would be the 'big' bronco. This reveal...
I am really afraid of how small these things will be. Bronco is on a smaller ranger chassis and the baby bronco is a ford edge. My fear is that this thing is no larger than a kia soul.
Did you look at the history on this truck? Looks like it shows service history as well as accident history. Being a 2018, you would need to crawl under to see if it has the plastic or metal oil pan. If you still want it, make sure you let them leave it overnight and make sure you are the first...
This looks awesome. I do like the rings around the bumper openings. I doubt that gets to Ford design, but maybe an aftermarket place can make that and produce some good forward lighting.
The news continues to get worse around Ford. Jim Farley stated:
"We have to fix a number of things," he said, citing delayed launches and the company's recent $5 billion in expenses to cover warranties. "Our warranty spending is a big opportunity for us." He said the company has a plan to...
As the exhaust breaks in, it does not get louder. As it carbons up, it will get quieter and less raspy. This is exactly what the AWE exhaust people said as well since they wanted to prepare buyers for the loud rasp that would wear in later. The tune will make a subtle difference in exhaust sound...
