Call and speak to the tech reps at Sumo Springs. Having used both Sumo and Timbren…I’d suggest the Sumo. Smoother ride from a more progressive material. I use the Sumo with a SDHQ bump stop pad. Works great.

As I understand it, the Flowmaster FX is their version of the Magnaflow exhaust (X flow type muffler). I believe that I have the same Magnaflow that you describe. It’s a 14” X flow muffler. Check with Magnaflow, but they may have a solution to the problem you describe. That may be as simple...

Does anyone know which manufacturer produces the stock pads? I was told that these may be Akebono’s lower end pad...but I can’t confirm this. I able to find out that Akebono makes OE pads for Ford...just not sure what vehicles.

Agree that the brakes are weak. Going to try a brake pad upgrade first: Akebono Street Performance ASP1414 and ASP1790. Should be a big improvement over OEM. If that doesn't work...then the I swap out the brake lines for braided stainless next.
