Having trouble with a weak Homelink signal for your garage opener?

Had a similar problem. Figured out that it wasn’t the truck. We had upgraded the Wi-Fi in my home to the latest available and put the entire house on a 13 zone mesh network. My garage door opener was about 12 years old. Changed the wall mount control to a newer unit. Problem was solved...

    Geiser +3 vs Geiser +2.5

If you go with Deavers, just know that if you want to go up or down in height or resistance, you’re into a whole new set of springs. Icon’s thought this through pretty well.

Drive Raptor in LA as daily commute car

#1: I left that ****** shit hole nearly four years ago. I won’t even go back to visit. #2: Depending upon where you live (I lived in Brentwood), you may not be able to drive your truck on a 2-way street, depending upon parking rules. Heck, some days I couldn’t drive my GL63 on my street...

    Geiser +3 vs Geiser +2.5

I did exactly what Geiser told me to do. I put the +3 Geiser springs on the front. I put the Icon option 2 on the rear. I changed the bump stop to a Sumo Spring with 2x 1” spacers and added a SDHQ bump stop pad. That’s it. Drives fantastic. Geiser didn’t recommend anything else. Said to...

Timbren SES on a GEN 3?

Call and speak to the tech reps at Sumo Springs. Having used both Sumo and Timbren…I’d suggest the Sumo. Smoother ride from a more progressive material. I use the Sumo with a SDHQ bump stop pad. Works great.

    Raptor Values May Plummet

Nobody on this thread buys a Raptor for fuel economy. Think about the lunacy of this line of thinking. Are the values of any truck coming down in price? How about high performance sports cars? Any one of you considering taking your Prius offroad or overlanding? Anyone care to trade in your...

    GEN 2 Icon vs Deavers

Gen 2 - 2018: Been running Geiser 3” up front and Icon Option 2 in the rear for a few weeks now. Highway, city, country roads and some dirt road driving. No offroad yet. A bit of hauling gear as well. The truck is just as “smooth” as it’s always been. Stiffer? No, I wouldn’t say that at all...

    Geiser +3 vs Geiser +2.5

Just started running the Geiser 3” on a 2018 Raptor. Mind you, I haven’t run anything offroad, just highway, some city and some country roads. Also added Icon rear leaf springs in option 2. Much smoother than stock. More aggressive, more responsive, and more sure footed handling. Certainly...

FORD ESP Premium Warranty - Worth It?

Ziegler has the absolute best pricing I’ve found for the factory warranty. Just purchased the same (Ford ESP Platinum), 7 year, 100k miles for my 2018 802a Raptor with 35k miles on it. $1695 w/ $100 deductible. My truck just came out of warranty a month or so before I made the purchase...

https://www.superspringsinternational.com/shop/ssr-142-47/ If you have Deavers or Icons installed in the rear and simply want to replace the now useless stock bump stop with something that will work, you might want consider something like this. Is it going to take you ripping offroad in the...

GUN VAULT TO REPLACE UNDER REAR STORAGE COMPARTMENT.

I installed one of these in my 2018 Raptor last summer. Very happy with it. I often carry a number of firearms in there. Tuffy 316-01 Full Width Under Rear Seat Lockbox for Ford F150 Crew Cab 2015+, Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00XY2YQB0/?tag=fordraptorforum-20

    Dealer doc fees

No one has to pay doc fees. That’s a fully negotiable BS fee. It’s not standard anywhere. Every dealer charges a different doc fee. Some states have legal limits on doc fees. Some dealers charge more, some charge less, some charge nothing at all. Negotiate it away. The minute a dealer...

    Guess I'm waiting for awhile..

I live in Brentwood. Not far from Franklin Ford. It’s simply not possible to buy a car from them IMO. Nashville, Clarksville and Mt Juliet would be better choices. Heck, I have a hard enough time bringing my Raptor to them for service. Zip Code pricing from all car/truck dealers out here...

    Lightweight, Quiet, Road-centric All-Terrain Tires

Toyo/Nitto that would go on a Raptor...they are all made right here in the US...not Japan. Both “supposedly” have a very high silicon content in their compound...and that has some benefits. The Toyo A/T 3, although I have not driven this tire yet, seems to have some outstanding reviews and...

    Was I wrong?

Times have clearly changed. I bought my 2018 802A (all options minus carbon package, Raptor stickers, Recaro seats) w/8500 miles...for $61,500 in early 2019. Something doesn’t sound quite right.

Brighter headlight bulb for HID stock lights?

What’s the recommendation for a 2018 Gen 2 headlight upgrade. my read is that the bulbs cannot be replaced on the stock headlights...which would mean a switch the Morimoto or Alpharex. Still can’t get any input on which will have the best real world output. The stock headlights are useless...

Thoughts on Vision X LED Light Cannons

I have the VisionX lights on my 2018 Raptor. Love ‘em. Quality, ease of installation, price...all excellent. Durability...so far excellent. I often find myself asking...should I pay more to go with what’s popular, or should I do some homework and figure out which is the best product? I did...

    GEN 2 Borla Exhaust opinions

When I did my 2018 Raptor a few months back, I had the opportunity to A/B a few different exhausts at the same time. The shop wanted to hear the difference and so did I. We A/B’d Borla, Flowmaster, Magnaflow and a few others. The deepest and heartiest sound, by a fair margin was the...

    Need some exhaust help/advice

As I understand it, the Flowmaster FX is their version of the Magnaflow exhaust (X flow type muffler). I believe that I have the same Magnaflow that you describe. It’s a 14” X flow muffler. Check with Magnaflow, but they may have a solution to the problem you describe. That may be as simple...

    Oem rotors with ebc pads??

Does anyone know which manufacturer produces the stock pads? I was told that these may be Akebono’s lower end pad...but I can’t confirm this. I able to find out that Akebono makes OE pads for Ford...just not sure what vehicles.

Is it just me? or Does anyone think the Brakes suck..

Agree that the brakes are weak. Going to try a brake pad upgrade first: Akebono Street Performance ASP1414 and ASP1790. Should be a big improvement over OEM. If that doesn't work...then the I swap out the brake lines for braided stainless next.

    Sync 3 Update

Just spoke to Sr Tech Rep at Sync. Had a bear of a time trying to get this to USB drives. Local dealer telling me that 3.0 is the latest update...and that he updated the software to the latest version for me. Said he updated languages, nav maps, voice data, grace note and language pack. Said...

Is it just me? or Does anyone think the Brakes suck..

As for brake pads: Anyone ever consider Porterfield R4-S? This is a carbon Kevlar compound...which is about as good as you can get for heat and wear from my experience. Considering EBC Greenstuff 7000 front / 6000 rear as well. Leaning toward Porterfield...still can’t figure out what EBC is...
