Childish to sell everything after 5 dealers fail to fix mechanical problems that are covered under warranty? Sorry but I dont see it that way. I paid for the warranty in the price of the vehicle and purchased a ESP as well. I expect it to be taken care of. To date they still haven't given any...
It would be laughable if I didn't need my truck. I work in a building with around 3k people and I literally have multiple people everyday at this point ask me if I have it back. They then laugh when I tell them no. Those Rebel drivers are just loving it.
Cam Phasers yes. My bad. They required the reprogram prior to completing the repair and said I had to put at least 500 miles on it after the reprogram before they would replace them.. which they then refused to do.
Theres no oil on my drive way which is concrete so it must be burning...
I tried to get into any local dealer (4 different ones at that) for over 6 months. I live less than a quater mile from a ford dealer and the srrvice guy literally wouldnt schedule me. Everytime i would press him he qould reply with "I would take it somewhere else." Obviously they don't want to...
The dealer should have said that up front. When I scheduled I literally mentioned the parts and the service person said "Well what parts are they having trouble getting? We have everything." It's been one lie after another. It WAS an appointment... that turned into 7 weeks. @CoronaRaptor
Update... 3 more attempts to figure out what the result of the phone call was resulted in being placed back on hold for 8 minutes a then hung up on and sent to the survey. I am literally at a loss for words. Itd be funny if I didn't NEED a truck. I sure hope my treestands and trail cameras are...
Hi all,
This is more of a story and to see what my options are than anything. I bought a 2019 F150 Raptor new from a dealer 3 hours away from where I live. I love my truck but am thoroughly disgusted with Ford and every dealer I have tried to work with.
Timing chain rattle started around 40k. I...
Just my luck. Bought my ESP specifically for the cam phaser coverage. (My 2013 ecoboost cost 3k to fix just out of warranty.) At least I dont have to worry about anything else. Lol
It really is. Most states also have a buyer beware law now. If you buy a vehicle from a dealer and it breaks down quick, you can fight them for it. If you buy private party and it breaks, tough luck.
I love the EcoBoost sucks crowd lol. A lot of them "would never" own a truck with a v6, so I dont take their arguments seriously. If they would never own one, they dont have experience with one. My 2013 f150 ecoboost was still running hard when I traded it in at 140k miles of heavy footed...
Yeah it does. It stiffens the suspension and reduces body roll. I can take ramps like a mustang in it and never lose confidence. Definitely a difference.
Mine are almost toasted at 20k. Going to replace them with Nitto trail or ridge grapplers... havent made a decision yet. Had an old diesel with trail grapplers that lasted 45k miles of abuse. My 13 f150 had ridge grapplers that went for 37k until I traded it in and was extremely impressed by...
I had a 2013 FX4 ecoboost before the raptor. Started hearing timing chain rattle on every start up at 63k miles (go figure, no ESP). Switched to Mobil 1 oil while keeping the factory filter and never heard rattle again. Traded for the raptor at 120k miles... dont know if it was the oil or chance...
Theres a video on youtube that tests the 1st gen, 2nd gen, and ranger raptor braking. Surprisingly the 2nd gen stopped WAY before the others, even the ranger raptor which weighs quite a bit less.
It's a learning curve. It isn't supposed to bite hard, but it will definitely lock them up if you...
We typically have a week or two of subzero nighttime temps around here every year and a month or so in the 90s. 5w-30 is fine. Dont overthink it. Use what is recommended. Just let the truck warm up before pinning the firewall with your toes. (regardless of temp)
I think the shelby package is a package they can add to any model? Most out here that I've seen were 5.0s with a supercharger. Lots of power but crazy expensive. And they dont have the suspension of the raptor but they are lifted with bigger tires. Look like the last gen's "Tonka truck" version...
Angry that Ford's customer service/reliability was subpar so you're shopping the automaker with the lowest customer satisfaction rating and additionally has owned the "least reliable vehicles" list in basically every survey that's been done for at least the past decade... Seems logical. ?:]...
