    I love having a reliable truck. The ecoboost is definitely not that. The 3.5 ecoboost is going away anyway... Being replaced by the 3L TT.... Not sure why Jennies can't comprehend that reality. No more six banger for them.

    There is so much wrong with what you state. The 7.3 is a big block gasser that makes torque and power enough for a super duty and tuned enough for fun in a Raptor. Just. Like. The. 6.2.

    Remember that the 3.5 ecoboost is being replaced with the 3L TT The buyer actually cares about reliability the most. The ecoboost just doesn't have that. There are too many common problems with it

    Has anyone seen the data from the other 3.5 ecoboost products? They reporting the same cam phaser failures, oil pan cracks, low oil, and low oil pressure? Look across the F150/expedition/navigator since they are using the gen2 ecoboost.

    No problem with that as long as Ford actually applies their lessons learned from the 3.5 ecoboost problems. The reliability of this 3.5 ecoboost is terrible.

    There was another redesign in the summer of 18 as well since the first redesign didn't fix it. In any case, Ford still doesn't have a reliable design for these. In the past, lockouts were made, but not sure who can make them for this.

    You are experiencing what others have. Recommend getting to the dealer asap since you can't let the cam phaser rattle go. Get that fixed, and I bet you they put the new design valve covers on. Once they tear into the engine, they will determine if the whole thing needs replaced. These random...

    Look around here... You see many spark plug threads, right? You also will read those and find that spark plugs need changed very often.
