    Raptor Assault - debrief thread

Get the Well's book, Moab 4x4. He does a great job of describing the trails, how tough each one is, how to find the trails and how to navigate them. You can get it on Amazon or in any book store. https://www.amazon.com/dp/1934838292/?tag=fordraptorforum-20

Base Camp Durango - The Million Dollar Hwy, Silverton and Ouray...

Did it in a early Trailblazer, a 2004 Rubicon, my 6.1 Hemi 2009 Rubicon, and my 2015 2 door Rubicon. The Hemi was so wide (Dynatrac 60's and 40x13.5 tires) the outside of the tire was off the edge of the drop off at the waterfall, so I did not try it in the Raptor. I plan to do it again this...

Question For Guys with Tinted Windshields?

Talk nice to your sensor. Stop yelling in the car, it is very sensitive. Be more respectful.

Question For Guys with Tinted Windshields?

In the winter, whenever I turned to the north, the headlights would come on. I think they make the system sensitive on purpose, so that the lights come on early. 70% is the standard windshield tint.

Base Camp Durango - The Million Dollar Hwy, Silverton and Ouray...

We have done Black Bear several times. Relatively easy, but kind of scary. Hope to do it again late summer 2023.

    Moab

Wednesday we did the Pack Creek trail up to LaSalle Mountains. In the summer of 2021 the Pack Creek area was devastated by a huge fire, started by a %#*% camper. So the first few miles was through the burned out area. We were a little late going up for the best color, but there was still some...

    Spoiler Alert. Moab is nuts!

Talked to a local Moab BLM guy on Saturday, the local BLM people are against ANY changes, but the f%$#$% in Washington think they know better.

The Raptor in it’s Natural Habitat…

Did Rocky Mountain National Park this past week. First day was cloudless, second time clouds filled the valleys. Took the one way dirt road from the valley to the pass. Started below the clouds, climbed through them and ended up above them.

OEM part failed…I’m putting in an aftermarket

I don't know how I missed this thread, just caught up. Glad everything went well John. I had mine done 10 years ago. As others have said, therapy sucks, but you have to do it. I used liberal applications of Crown Royal, and it seemed to help. Of course I feel sorry for Julie, as she will...

    The death of car culture

Even at a cost of $ 6K - $ 12K (in today's dollars) who is going to pay very much for an EV 10 years from now. I wish someone would do a life cycle total cost for an IC engine vehicle and an EV. Between the mining for the cells and the disposal cost, plus the short life span, I still think...

    The death of car culture

California is supposed to pass a regulation today stopping the sale of all new IC vehicles by 2035. The man knows better than you.
