Man, get the 20s. They'll do just fine for most offroading situations and they do look a ton better for normal driving. Which is what you're going to be doing 95% of the time. But keep the stockers and switch to them if you feel like going out for a weekend and doing some hard off roading where...
I thought it made a pretty solid difference, personally. I used a box for the 4 doors (SCAB) and another box for the floor and the rear along with the dynaliner for the floor.
So I've done all 7 speakers and dynamatted the HE'LL out of the doors and it sounds light years better than before. I just finished dynamatting the floor and then putting dynaliner on top of that, so here's to hoping it sounds even better.
I do have a question though. I'm currently finishing...
I'd personally like to put their light bar above the actual "FORD" part of the top grill. It wouldn't be hard to take the measurements and cut the hole for it, but I'd have to find a way to make it look clean because I'm anal about things like that. lol. I may just order it and see what I can...
This is probably the best place to ask this:
Does the S8 work with a full race intercooler on the 2017?
Or can you make custom mounts so I can move it forward INTO the plastic grill above the FORD? This would be even better. I really want the light in the grill and not behind it, but no one...
Yeah, I tried like hell to get a dealership in SoCal to sell me one at MSRP. I laughed in their faces when they told me the mark ups and asked if I at least got a reach around. lol.
I ended up buying from a dealership in TX and driving it back. Best road trip I've ever taken!
That all depends on budget and how loud you like your music. If you're going to go serious, you can more or less run everything separate (new amps, interface, etc) and just leave the stock amp out of the way (but still hooked up because it'll throw codes if you unhook it). But the point of this...
I'm sure the Polk speakers you mentioned are generally better speakers, but the Pioneer speakers listed here have a SUPER high sensitivity level. In layman's terms they play louder with the same amount of power, which is incredibly important when you're trying to run with the stock amp...
What did you do with the other speaker since you only need one? I'd be willing to go halvsies with someone on the middle 3.5". lol
