    Market Adjustment Prices

I like the way you think. I'm going to wait. Just like the first year model of anything, the next year is always better and cheaper to buy. I'm just tired of state dealer franchise protection laws.

    Market Adjustment Prices

I will buy a Raptor, but the dealers need to get real. Why would anyone pay MSRP for a Ford? I didn't even pay MSRP when I bought my Ford GT in 2006. I waited it out and got one $20k under msrp. A lot of discussion has revolved around dealer mark ups. State franchise laws need to change. Tesla...

    Transmission problem

Ford had an issue with the rear a-arms on the first Ford GTs and they didn't replace any cars. They had a company make billet arms and got them installed asap. My FGT didn't have a single issue in over 25,000 miles of hard use. I would hope a Raptor is built as good... after all, it's built Ford...

    Transmission problem

Don't push them. Let them take their time. If it takes 20-30 days, so what? If you are unhappy, next year file a lemon law claim and get a 2018 or 2019 on Fords dime. I suggest you document everything. All calls, dates, times, people, etc. It's likely your truck will be out of service more than...

who needs crash bars? This 2015 f150 screw didn't.

    Crash protection removed from Raptor?

Crumbling nose cone on an Indy car is one thing. Crumbling passenger compartment on a halo truck is another. Have you watched the video?

    Crash protection removed from Raptor?

I'm with you. I wouldn't want to drive something that can crumble so badly.

    Crash protection removed from Raptor?

I know some people are going to say they don't care. But I do. I value my legs and life. And I'm sure many others are going to expect to have a truck that would perform as well as the regular f150 in an off-set crash. The Raptor is wider, so it's more likely to get struck by someon...

    Crash protection removed from Raptor?

Is that behind the wheel (near the footwell), or in front of the wheel?

    Crash protection removed from Raptor?

Ford's advertising was based on government testing, not IIHS. I don't like the way D.O.T. Does the front crash test. Running the whole front into a wall is not what happens in the real world very often. I hope someone from Ford can address this issue.

    Crash protection removed from Raptor?

Why would just this bar make such a big difference between a cab remaining in tack vs crumbling like a soda can?

    Crash protection removed from Raptor?

Your post doesn't help. It has no helpful information. Stronger suspension and bigger tires does nothing to add to crash protection. In fact, bigger tires causes MORE cab intrusion.

    Crash protection removed from Raptor?

Now what if the Raptor screw and scab both performs like the 2015 f150 scab? That would be a major issue.

    Crash protection removed from Raptor?

I know that Ford says the Raptor has a 5 star crash rating. They are basing this on a full front crash test performed by the NHTSA (DOT). That's a government test into a wall. The manufacturers provide a test vehicle and the government crashes it. The IIHS is a non profit company that buys...

Question for those that have their truck

Not sure. I think all the 315/70-17 KOs are E, except what's on the new Raptor. A higher load rating may equal a harsher ride.

Question for those that have their truck

I'm wondering if the Raptor would be OK for long distance trips. I'm replacing a '15 Yukon Denali as our family vehicle. We go take trips of 200-600 miles and the Raptor would be our travel truck. I'm worried about the BFG tires and the suspension settings for highway use. I have a Jeep...

Bought a vehicle with a credit card?

I believe California does NOT allow merchants to charge a surcharge or fee on credit card transactions. Also, Amex's terms of service for California merchants restricts them from charging any fees. Check with a consumer lawyer or the state.

Bought a vehicle with a credit card?

Using a credit card isn't allowed in some states to buy a car because it constitutes a financing contract, not cash. Charge cards, like Amex, is different. That's the same as paying cash. Check with your local state laws. In many states a merchant can add a fee for the use of a credit or...
