I suspect the issue was probably more to do with the stubby using a dissimilar metal to the mount. This would cause a weld like corrosion in no time that would end up with the result shown above.
I love my diamondback. But damn this is a great idea and awesome execution. Diamondback support is the best I have ever dealt with. Maybe they will offer that as an option.
So what exactly does the extended warranty cover then if lighting and cosmetic is out. Never mind that a fuel door is not cosmetic since if it does not function correctly it will lead to throwing a cel light since dirt will in the fuel trap will cause poor seals. This is why I never purchase...
I had this happen to me just after my first fill up. Put 93 octane in and within a few days it did the stall out. Never happened again. Wonder if the dealer loaded the truck up with 87 octane and the computer was still adapting. Been 7k miles since the stall.
Yeah I was going to say multi Pistons brakes like this do not drastically change your stopping distance, but what they do is drastically reduce fade which in track use or heavy offroad use is a big thing.
Note the low pressure warning is not the cause of the shutdown. If the engine stalls it will throw a low pressure warning because well no engine running means no oil pressure. It is just a red herring and can be ignored. The issue is why did the engine stall.
Sorry to bring back an old thread but I have noticed my transmission temps even on just short easy drives to the store are always above 200 and usually around 205. This seems high for light driving. Only time I see it below 200 is when I first start.
Wheels on a raptor should not exceed 18" and really no offset. Course this is my personal opinion it is your truck so do with it what you want but if it is for offroad large wheels and offsets are not good.
Got my squadron pros installed tonight. They work great and the wiring harness was perfect. The lights are better than I even expected. Thanks for hooking me up.
Now a complaint about Ford, seriously what sadistic bastard decided 1 inch was plenty of extra wire length for the upfitter...
That makes sense as others stated if you switched it to 4l while still in drive it will not shift to 4l, but as soon as you put it in park it would have switched. Now the question is were you in 4h on the highway, which is also really bad. Not sure how the transfer case works if you do this...
4l does sometimes fail to engage, but you would get a warning about that in the info display

I think the ratio is 2.7:1, so 60 mph would be pushing 5400 rpm. How you would not notice that is beyond me.
Edit...
Just got my lights and wiring in the mail. Thanks for the quick service. Now just need to install them, unfortunately the engine bay is way to hot to mess around in after work and will be on vacation for the follow week:(
One question on the wiring harness, what is the connector on the end...
I just took my truck to the dealer with 5k miles and asked them to check the tire balance because of vibration at highway speed. Dealer noted all tires were out of balanced and noted cupping on the front tires. Truck is on stock perch not that should matter. Really surprised how quickly it...
