Yessir it does not charge when it's docked, only overnight in the locked console. iPad batteries are a lot better than a phone, which it will last at least 3-4 days with moderate driving without charging. As for dropping it in, it's as easy as that!

The factory radio is mounted behind it and all the steering wheel controls work. I have AM/FM radio, sirius, and the bluetooth screen above with all the sync features. Everything plays through the speakers. To each their own. Who listens to CDs anymore anyways..
