    MOAB S-u-c-k-s...Go Elsewhere(pics added 9-20)

I've taken my Gen1 all over Moab and it cleared every technical trail I took it down with ease. I didn't attempt Pritchett Canyon.

    Lightning Raptor

I have a Gen 1 I will not sell. I have a 19 Ranger fitted with a 2.3L and full Icon suspension I just ran at TRR. Arguably funner than my Gen 1 on the track. I have a Lightning reserved. Yes, it will also get a full Icon suspension, if they make coilovers for the rear IFS, and it will also go to...

GEN 1 P0161 check engine light

I anticipate, in my case, its a ground wire issue, not power. I measured 10V, so there is power coming from the PCM, but a leak to ground could reduce the measured voltage. The last measurement I need to make is the end-to-end across the ground wire, but I need to sort out the pin at the PCM...

    Yet another Supercharger thread...

This is good info. Thank you. Do you run your truck offorad? I love my Whipple on my F150 coyote. I make 900HP on E85 at 12psi. Stock internals! In the drag racing world, the Roush is known to run hot to the point of under tuning to avoid the issue. Further, why opt for 2.3L of displacement...

    Yet another Supercharger thread...

Every time I go to TRR, I see whipple-charged raptors throwing belts, likely due to the small pulley size. Do others find this to be true and common? As reference, I have a whipple charged Coyote and this has never been an issue. In fact, the whipple runs and looks perfect.

GEN 1 P0161 check engine light

BEN...good stuff. I use VCM Editor myself but hadn't tried that. Thank you for the suggestion and the wiring diagram.

GEN 1 P0161 check engine light

Correct, the PCM monitors the health of the O2 sensor heater as a function of voltage. The above post does not address the power source, which, according to the wiring diagram, is the PCM. If you can find something otherwise, we would appreciate seeing it. In my case, I found increased...

GEN 1 P0161 check engine light

There are ways to do this, but, at least in Texas, this will return a Not Ready status from the emissions system during inspection. I know this from experience. The problem has to be fixed if, in some states, you wish to register your vehicle. Luckily, PCMs are not expensive, and I don't...

GEN 1 P0161 check engine light

I'm having the same issue and have been for more than a year. Doesn't affect drivability but I can't get it inspected in TX. I have done the same things as you. I also flashed the PCM, left for a week battery unplugged, and cleared the code with tuner. Code always comes back. From the old O2...

2021 Raptor Is a Total BUST!!

I love it. Reminds me of my Gen1. I will be adding one to the stable along with a new Bronco.

Raptor R - Will you be buying this beast.

I just bought my a King Ranch Expedition. $80K. This is just the price of trucks now. Get in or get out.

    2011 Raptor Whipple Supercharger

Replacing the oil pump gears and crank gear with billet units is mandatory BEFORE boosting any Ford V8. Do this right away if you haven't already. Your mechanic or SC vendor should have told you this. Two dead pistons is likely detonation from bad fuel, lack of fuel, or shitty tune. I would: 1)...

Anyone have an extra 125k i can have?

I will point out Block appears to be selling his Gen 2 while keeping his Gen 1. Just sayin'.

GEN 1 Gen1 rollover on the beach.

Got it. So it's almost as if he pulled himself over with the front drive when he gained traction in the wet sand? I never run 4WD unless I'm going slow...only 2WD at-speed to prevent the CV's from binding and exploding with the high-speed articulation.

GEN 1 Gen1 rollover on the beach.

Somebody already said it - when in doubt, gas out. I regularly attend the TRR and offroad my Raptor with great exuberance. I've had it in some crazy sideways slides, even down hill, where I braced for rollover, but the truck never even hinted at it. I feel like it took special talent or total...

GEN 2 Buy back from Ford

I have a suggestion. Sell it and buy a gen 1 with a proper V8. I have 3 Fords currently. 2012 Raptor, 2017 F150, and 2019 Ranger. The Raptor have been running TRR and offroading since new. Highly modified. I run it hard. Never an issue that wasn't my fault. 2017 F150 RCSB, 5.0, 750rwhp on...

    GEN 1 2012 raptor won’t start.

So you're getting fuel, did you check for power to the coils?
  18. R

    GEN 1 2012 raptor won’t start.

If it cranks, you only need fuel, spark and air. 1) Remove air cleaner and try; 2) verify 12+V to coils while cranking; 3) Disconnect fuel line to see if there is fuel coming to the rails. A single coil or injector issue would just make it run poorly. You can further visually verify spark, if...

    Octane Matters

Modern flex fuel engines come with wide-band O2 sensors. This allows the PCM to detect an inferred octane or ethanol mix and adjust parameters accordingly. When adding 91 or 93 octane over 87, you have given the engine additional knock resistance and so the PCM will advance the timing and/or...

    TRR: RaptorX Jan 20-22

I've been out of the TRR loop for a while, and looking to get back in. Looking forward to this run!

    40" M&R vs. 40" Blackhawk

The Blackhawk lights from TMX are awesome. Seen them mounted up and in action, and they do great. I had the same experience as above and didn't notice the difference compared to the Rigid bars until TMX pointed out the cosmetic difference. Highly recommend!
