There's a white crew at the Marion, IL dealership too, but I don't think it's been there long. The black one in Vienna has been sitting since around Christmas time!
I just wanted to let everyone know there’s a new black crew cab sitting in Vienna, IL at the dealership for several months now. Not sure if they’ll deal or not but I just wanted to pass the info along since it’s a small dealer that’s off the beaten path!! Maybe they’re ready to get rid of it!!
Welcome to Ford ownership. My Raptor sat at the dealership for 37 days once while trying to unscrew a transmission issue - eventually replaced the torque converter which fixed it. I wasn't offered a loaner car until about 20 days into the ordeal.
Good luck with the fix and I hope they resolve...
While a different transmission, my '13 ate the torque convertor at only 5500 miles and my truck was seriously babied! It sat at the dealership for 37 days while they threw stuff at it until something finally stuck...It was super frustrating and is one of the reasons I sold the truck and am...
Most people will forget to lock the tailgate at just the wrong time and then it's gone. Happened to a buddy of mine with his new F350 - I think his new tailgate was a couple of thousand! These work exactly the same as a hose clamp but they have a special key that's more difficult to...
I sprayed my undercarriage down really well with Amsoil MPHD rust inhibitor as soon as I got it. It went on a bit yellow and waxy but hardened really well and lasted. When I sold the truck 3 years later, I had zero rust issues, but the truck wasn't daily driven either. t'll definitely use it...
If that were mine I'd still garage it and devise a way to lower the garage door to the top of the bed then use a tarp or enclosure to cover the lower half. Also, what's on the backside of the garage wall? Any way to bump that area out a foot? My new truck wouldn't sit outside all the time...
We use an Autohome Maggiolina on our Defender 110. It's a bomb proof setup but not the cheapest. If I remember right it weighs about 130lbs. Super water tight and wind proof. Sets up/down in about 2 min and is a piece if cake if having to do it while raining...
I saw a mint Highboy on Bring a Trailer recently...It was awesome but went for crazy money! The early Land Cruisers are really cool. Even though ours is an FJ62, I'm always amazed at the looks and thumbs up it gets!
I'm sticking with more vintage for a while since I'm getting tired of the technology in current rigs - currently have a '93 full size Bronco, '93 Land Rover Defender 110 and a '90 Land Cruiser. I really want to get an early '70's 4x4 truck now...
I used a Blendmount with my Valentine and ran a power wire around the windshield and down the right A pillar...Then I tapped into one of the uplifter switches so I could leave it on to come on/off with the ignition.
