Installing an ICOM 5021 I got from Trepal. Instead of direct wiring to battery, I was thinking of using one of my aux switches. That way it could not be left on by accident and leave me stranded out in the middle of nowhere. Would this be good enough?

I was driving my 2 day old Silver SCrew and ran over a 4" branch on the road and the engine shut off. Of course it was snowing and raining. Had to walk 3 miles to a phone...no cell service Tried the ignition key on/off deal. Seems to be no fuel pump shut off button on the Pass side kick panel...
