That unfortunately is the opening to access your engine block heater. Not a sexy solution by any means but it should be a cleaner setup on the 24 since they seem to omit the mesh grill in the lower inlets.
Edit* engine block heater plug to connect to outlet.
I’m not saying the R would have won but it would have been neat to have someone in the driver’s seat that knew the vehicle and maybe didn’t have it in 2WD “all the time”…that wheel hop gives me a slight suspicion traction control was not fully disengaged but I could be wrong.
6400 miles and usually around 9-11mpg average. I noticed if you let the truck idle for a bit it will destroy whatever good mpg you had going. At that point I stopped paying attention.
Are you looking at getting the 24R? I wondered if a buy back would sour the relationship with your dealer and prevent from getting ahold of a 24 allocation?
I went with the bakflip MX4, so far it’s been pretty good. Not as water tight as I had hoped with the drains installed but does a pretty decent job keeping water out.
My main concern was if I could fit a quad in the back with the MX4 and today I finally had an opportunity to try it out...
Trading in MY23 R for MY24 R. Probably not the best financial decision I’ve ever made; hopefully they are kind on my trade-in value but not holding my breath.

The center console vault/safe does not appear to be an option for the 2024 R based on the online configurator. My dealer did not see the option either. Aside from the V8 in the side Alcantara, I do not see any other difference? Any insight on if I can order the vault or just pull the vault...
