    Thoughts on this dealer offer?

I'm leaning towards a 'no thanks' and gambling on R's coming down towards the end of the year. They may not but I'm also not excited about getting into another EB Raptor. Latest tech, suspension, seats, are all very tempting but essentially the same engine platform. I'm sure the HO V6 is tuned...

    Thoughts on this dealer offer?

Looks like Ford has instituted their stair step incentive for some (or all) of their vehicles. I received a call Monday night from a dealer and this was their offer on a 37 Package (non R): - MSRP: $94,735 - $2K off MSRP (802A, Avalanche, spray-in liner, moonroof, hard tonneau cover) - Fair...

    180000 mile 2017 raptor?

Curious what is the remedy for this?

2017 - transmission replace, brakes, moonroof, door latches - arrived at the fork in the road

I'm also wondering that as well. I would think that Ford would not send a 1:1 for transmission that hasn't been updated to address the known issues found in that generation part number. I'll ask my service advisor and see if he knows.

2017 - transmission replace, brakes, moonroof, door latches - arrived at the fork in the road

That was my thought but apparently the moonroof side shade track is a wear/tear item.

    180000 mile 2017 raptor?

I think the root cause was the torque converter but don't have the specifics. My transmission has been in and out of the shop 2-3x per year over the past 3-4 years do to various issues. Multiple TSB's for PCM resets and dealer keeping my truck for sometimes 3 weeks to make sure it shifts smooth...

    180000 mile 2017 raptor?

180K is encouraging. My 17 is at 73K miles and getting a new transmission under warranty after a bunch of harsh shifting services over the past few years and torque converter. How much more life do you guys think I’ll be able to add to my 17 with a new transmission?

2017 - transmission replace, brakes, moonroof, door latches - arrived at the fork in the road

Thanks, FTO. I wish I had the answers to your points. I'm at the mercy of my local ford dealer with these IWE issues. My advisor said to me that it's holding vacuum but they will re-check once all the work is done. With the transmission, the tech took it for a test drive with a laptop to...

2017 - transmission replace, brakes, moonroof, door latches - arrived at the fork in the road

Just spoke with my service advisor and he confirmed that the sunroof isn't covered by the extended warranty and is a wear and tear item. Also asked him about the jasper trans and he said Ford approved a new transmission from Dearborn and Jasper was listed in case Ford didn't approve the...

2017 - transmission replace, brakes, moonroof, door latches - arrived at the fork in the road

Definitely got max life out of the front brakes. Changed the rear brakes last year I believe. I haven't heard of IWE delete until I searched last night and read a little about it. Does that kit put the truck in full-time 4H?

2017 - transmission replace, brakes, moonroof, door latches - arrived at the fork in the road

I don't have anything to gain by lying about the IWE issues with this truck. I wish it weren't true. I bought around 5 check valves and have been replacing them every 3-4 months for the past 3 years or more to alleviate the grinding issues with the d-side front end. I'm just one of the lucky...

2017 - transmission replace, brakes, moonroof, door latches - arrived at the fork in the road

Thanks for the reply’s guys. I did purchase an 8yr/100k extended warranty from flood ford right after I took delivery in Jan 2017. Wouldn’t this qualify for a new ford transmission? Is the manufacturer transmission warranty 5 yrs / 60k miles?
