My 6 week wait was two days. Oil pan arrived at the dealer this morning!

Mine starting leaking yesterday, 5,025 miles. Took it to the dealership this morning, diagnosed with a cracked oil pan at the seal. Ford's repair is to replace the entire oil pan (they think it has been redesigned)...6 week backorder and told not to drive it or check oil level daily...ugh...

I will ask for the vin today. I had asked about the status but got no update.

I think it is just part of the game...I buy enough cars that I am not too worried about it.

I have an interesting dilemma...I order an Avalanche in December and I got a call today from the dealership that it arrived today. However, I found the exact same one on a lot and bought it 5 weeks ago. Now, what do I do with the one I ordered? Full disclosure, I negotiated them to $2,500...

My Whelen bracket is style 84741. That is why it didn't make sense...I will look for a universal bracket , any idea the style number? I am not seeing one shaped like yours...sorry to be a pain. Mine is narrower and smaller.
