Replaced transfer case motor. Check 4x4 indicator kept coming on and once it tried to go into 4LO at 25 MPH something had to be done. Replacing the motor seemed to have fixed the issue. Part: DORMAN 600-928 Transfer Case Motor on Amazon for $116 and an hour of my time to swap out.

Check your radiator cap. The seal may not be holding up, causing the system to not properly pressurize. This can obviously result in overheating but also coolant being lost to boiling at a lower temperature due to not being at the optimal pressure. I had to replace mine due to a small tear...

I have done all three, although I was going to different locations each time. I think the best route in my opinion is I-80. I suspect you'll get around 15-16 mpg depending on wind.

Mine is currently broken. Found a local guy to do it for half the cost. Still pretty expensive unfortunately.
