Yeah I think it must be my tax savings, only pay tax on the difference, that makes it work for the wholesalers.
($73k Cdn offer to me = 58.4k USD which lines up with your estimates, still sounds like a good offer!)
What is a 2017 going for down there?….. I have an avalanche grey with 29000 miles that the dealers will move down there for 65k usd.
(73 trade grossed up tax equivalent savings = 81cdn / 65usd)
So… I have my truck back, 10 days total time for some small stuff at Ford, and then the transmission work.
The truck shifts perfectly now, and also pulls into gear smoothly.
Reviewing the work order, it looks like they dropped the pan, pulled the main control unit, and replaced...
Update on my transmission issues..
-The transmission shop called today to let me know they had completed their work and the truck is heading back to my Ford dealer for some other work (Water pump and new battery). He said it is operating properly now and the rough shifts are gone.
-The...
Thank you for your feedback. The truck has just now been delivered to a transmission shop the dealer uses.
The dealer’s take on the symptoms is they are definitely out of the ordinary.
I think I’m gonna stop in and discuss your points with the transmisssion shop.
Update on my transmission issues....
Took the truck in for service and gave them the list of issues. They test drove the truck and are going to open up the transmission tomorrow.
I kind of hope it will be a full replacement, but just glad I am getting it addressed before the 5yr powertrain...
Update on the leak.... took the truck into Ford for a service, they have ordered a new primary water pump per the service advisor.
Coolant disappears at a super slow rate, but glad it is getting done before the powertrain warranty is up next March.
I have a 2017 Raptor which has the issues listed below. From reading other threads I suspect I should have the adaptive tables reset, or a software update done again (was done 2 years ago per TSB 18-2079)
The below observations re: throttle blip are interesting....
•Transmission clunks/rough...
I had the oil pan skid plate off today, just to have a look before I take my truck in for service.
I noticed some dried up pinkish debri that appears to have weeped out of the front engine cover. It will flake off if disturbed.... not sure if it is sealant or???
Below is a pic,
My 2017 leaked after about 6mos.
I finally had the dealer fix it Aug. 2018 (20,000kms). They put another plastic pan in it per Ford spec. They had the truck for 2 days.
The truck now has 40,000 kms and doesn’t leak at all. Very happy and relieved.
I’ve got the 2017 802a here is SK with 42k. Completely stock, can have one finger on the wheel driving straight while accelerating in 4wd, no pull.
With those kms, your truck is basically new! Great idea having a good Ford dealer put things back for you.
Depending on the offset of those...
That makes sense that they are reducing engine breaking in slippery mode.
It’s the same principal as trucking in slippery conditions. I always run lower settings on the jake and will supplement with the trailer brake to avoid being one of the jackknifed rigs in the ditch.
A couple questions for you..
-the Daystar cradles should fix the extension (full droop), but does the airbag’s internal bumper limit the compression, as compared to the original Ford bump stop?
-What were you running for bag psi when hitting the speed humps?
