Local Lithia Ford Dealership - all Raptors are marked up. Same dealer with 21 Lightning’s and 11 Mach-E’s on the lot. Yet another reason vehicle purchases I make are normally out of town, and usually out of state.
The Raptor is a hell of a nice truck. I may have gone from Raptor to TRX, but I still have a great appreciation for the Raptor. In high speed off road situations the Raptor is more than likely the better option (lighter and better shocks). Enjoy the new truck!
If aimed right (to the side), A-Pillar (or Ditch Lights) are pretty helpful. I had a set on my Raptor, but they were aimed straight ahead and just glared off the hood. I have a set on my TRX now, and aimed off to the side they really help in areas where bumper lights can’t get to.
Ford Raptor...
So not exactly apples to apples here, but stick with me.
I ordered my 2021 TRX without the HUD, and a few times have wondered if that was a mistake? Late last year I got to drive one with the HUD and it was cool, but I was glad I didn’t pay for it. To me it wouldn’t have been worth the extra...
To be fair, I did have a Raptor for a while. It was a pretty damn nice truck. I just preferred the V8 and at the time Ford didn’t offer one. Now that they do, it’s outside of my price range (especially with ADM’s).
So what did we learn from the video?
Nothing, the EV truck is faster. No big shock. Now let’s move onto real world testing:
- 300 Mile Towing Test with equal campers
- 500 Mile Road Trip
- Real Off Road Challenge
- Day to Day Drivability Challenge in town (think bank, groceries, Starbucks trip)...
