I'm looking for a 2010 or 2011 Raptor in Molten Orange. I know the touchscreen is pretty outdated (SYNC 1 I believe?). Can this be upgraded to the next version of SYNC or even SYNC3 easily? If so, how much does it run to do it?

Yeah, it involves a new touchscreen, APIM module and wiring. There is a company out there that sells it all as a kit for about $1500.

I'm also interested (I have a 2012 Screw). You wouldn't happen to know the company name?

Thanks!

If the vehicle has a touch screen, sync II unit, it can be upgraded easily to sync III, if it is sync I then aftermarket is your beast bet, as it requires a lot of wiring that isn’t in place in the sync I vehicles

Agreed. If sync 1, go with an after market GPS head unit. I did a pioneer AVIC-5201NEX with iDatalink Maestro to retain OEM steering wheel controls. Was even able to modify the OEM radio bezel to fit the new unit (rather than using the aftermarket mat black bezel) $820 all in from Crutchfield. Couldn’t be happier.

So, if I'm understanding this right, I have the Sync 2 if it is a touch screen?

So,can someone enlighten me as to the difference between SYNC1-2-3 and if its worth the prices some have posted....
I have a 2014 (built in of 2013)...so I do have a touch screen...
Thanks

Have any pictures of the look before and after by chance?
