Ha Ha! Good question!

That skid plate was custom made for a Raptor owner we met on the trail in Anza-Borrego on Raptor Run 1. His name is "Syko" and he's from San Diego. We met him after running Tie Rod Gulch and climbing Diablo Drop-off - we were nearly out of the canyon (Canyon Sin Nombre) when we came upon him and his friend in his white Raptor.



He explained that he had done some damage to the cross member and had this fabricated to protect that area.
