Most auto places should have it if they have other spray paints. Pretty available stuff, at least where I am anyways.

Does the spray come in a "rattle can" that you can buy at a local auto store?

I went to 3 different auto stores and all were out of nightshades. I ordered from amazon and it came with the clear as a pkg.

Did you have to do any prep work before you sprayed?

Washing and then wiping with some alcohol is a given... what I mean is, did you have to use some steel wool or something to roughen the plastic up first so that the nightshade would stick?

I did scuff them with 800 grit and it actually showed through in a little spot. I wouldn't do anything besides clean with alcohol, 2 coats of nightshades and 1 or 2 coats of clear. remember to put little circle stickers over the 3 led's, remove after nightshades and then clear coat, or they will not be very bright.

Is clear a must? I was advised that the clear can expose any unevenness with the coats of VHT Nightshades.

Does anyone have a close-up of what the circles look like (without the brakes on) after the Nightshades is applied?

I would actually recommend not putting it on now. Whats happened after a year is the top has faded a bit now I need to reapply and not sure how it will turn out over the clear. Nightshades has a nice glossy look to it so appearance would be the same.

As for the led's do you mean someone who tinted over them or didnt tint them, like I did.

Like you did. I wonder will the nightshades be an annual maintenance item?
