60” exactly
Thank you!

Unfortunately, for anyone else with a RetraxPro or RetraxPro XR, the canister is 61.5” across and barely clears the two boxlink grab bars. So unless lower profile aluminum support brackets become available, this bar won’t fit. But I doubt anything could be made much slimmer since ford would have done so themselves. 3/4” on each side is all that’s needed. The only remaining option would be to cut the rails shorter but as the canister is infront of the forward boxlink slots, a different type of support would need to be fashioned.

The rails are aluminum, and could easily be cut shorter.

Right. But they would then have no way to mount, since they mount into the boxlink. And we know they won’t reach since the canister blocks the box link.

That’s why I mentioned it could be cut but you’d need to rig a “lower profile” way to extend the support to the boxlink.

Or you can ditch the Retrax and install a Roll N Lock. At 59.5” the canister will fit between the brackets of the cargo management system. You’d still need to cut the rails down as only 1 of the attachment bolts would be utilized. I’ll post pics of the finished product in a bit. IMG_5312.jpegIMG_5311.jpeg

Good to know!

But having owned both, I much prefer the RetraxPro XR to the Roll-N-Lock XT. It still has that pull cord right? And did they finally give it fully-sealed bearings? The smaller canister was certainly nicer, but I didn’t find it rolled as smoothly, which makes sense since it’s rolling tighter.
