On my previous trucks I always do my own but I took mine to ford for the first change. That way they could just do an multipoint inspection. If you search the forum you'll find a ton of good info and tips on doing it your self.
If you do it yourself and plan to keep doing it I recommend you install an fumoto drain valve to make things cleaner and easier in the future.
Like others said, the best way to make sure it's done correct is to do it yourself, plus getting under the truck and caring for it is an added perk of ownership.
