I need new tires before winter, I currently have Falken Wildpeak At3w's and would like to get them again. Reason for replacing is they are 5 years old and starting to get pretty hard and less grippy in the snow and rain. There used to only be two sizes, the 35x12.5x17 and the 315/70/17 but now there is a third option. The weights have also been reduced on the 35in tire which is good since my only gripe with them is that they are heavy. Can anyone tell me the difference between the 121r and 125r 35in version? Obviously the load rating is slightly different but is there going to be a noticeable difference in performance ie are the 121r a softer ride than the 125r? They are both load index E and the 125R version is actually lighter than the 121R according to Falkens website so I am leaning towards those.

Thanks!

Typical tire/wheel combo is getting close to 100lbs. The 3lb difference between tire choices is prolly less important than choosing the best tread pattern for your needs. I just bought the cheapest set of 4 I could find on ebay at the time.

I know in the 37" they released a lighter version somewhat recently so it may be the same for the 35.

The tread pattern is the same across all three tires and price difference is negligible so I want to get the lightest version I can if there's no material difference. I chose these specifically because they have worked well for Montana winter driving. My current set of wildpeaks weighs 75.4 pounds per tire and stock wheels weigh 32lbs. I'm planning to go with lightweight (23Lb) wheels so this setup would be 15.6lbs lighter per corner than what I have currently
