A few weeks ago I was working and had a pair of scissors in my back pocket. Forgot about them and then went to get in my truck. As soon as I did it cut my seat and I immediately remembered I had scissors in my pocket. Yes, the were blade side up. I dropped what I was doing and went and got an OEM quote and a quote from a reputable upholstery shop in town. OEM was like $1400 and upholstery shop was around $600. I didn't like the fact that the upholstery shop wasn't going to be a perfect match on the perforated holes. It's one of those things that no one would have probably noticed but I would have known and it would have bothered me.

Anyway, I started down the route of looking around at my options and I was able to find a whole set of OEM leather covers for the truck for just under $300 on eBay. I bought my truck in October of 2022 and it has a build date of June 2022. The ad said basically they were taken off as soon as the truck was purchased so I thought what the hell, I'll gamble and take the loss if I have to. The seat covers that I received were in excellent condition and actually have tags stating they were manufactured in June 2023. There are a few what I would call dips in where a few of the perforated holes are but I figure those will break in and could just be from being boxed up and shipped. Here are some inprogress pictures.

The awesome thing is I have kids and they are young. I have a hole set of seat covers left in case the others get damaged.

looks good, when i did mine taking off the cover was PITA cause of the clips in the foam, tried to get it off without ripping them but lost a few of those, lucky my situation was replacing the foam pad.

I am astounded you got covers for a Gen 3 for $300 and it actually worked out. Good on ya mate!

Let us know who sold you them, and let them know I need some for a Gen 1!

Was looking to repair not replace with something different. Also, $300 vs $1500.
..but you did replace and not repair.
Also a quote you received was $1400 so a no brainer would be better quality seats for similar price. Just another option.
