GEN 2 Cranking with full throttle following oil change

Do you crank your engine with the throttle floored after changing your oil?

  • Yes! Your engine could be temporarily starved for oil otherwise.

I do it after sitting for a bit since my truck is not a 100% daily driver. It works fine and even if it's snake oil I feel better doing it and it doesn't hurt anything. My truck is SC and revs high at start up so I feel better priming the oil system for a few seconds before letting the pedal go and cranking it. Works good on our twin charged ecoboost expedition also after oil changes.
Lol tried it with my Honda S2K thinking all cars probably have this feature or failsafe whatever it's called and it did not like it hahaha I was like a sh$&
