Hello, first post here, long time Ford truck owner.
I'm an original owner of a 2004 F150 FX4 SCAB purchased new, and have been toying around the idea of replacing it with a new truck. When I spec out my wants in a Lariat/KR/Platinum I come out to almost $60K...for a few grand more it makes sense to get the raptor mainly because the value retention is amazing.
I use the utility of a truck regularly for home improvement, craigslist furniture runs from the wife, trips to the snow, trips camping, etc, but I don't ever foresee taking a raptor out to the desert or dunes more than 1 or 2 times because I live in the greater Los Angeles area and will not make it a priority to drive hours just to kick up the dirt and put it through its paces.
The raptor will spend most of the time on the pavement, so am I a poser if I buy a raptor?
