Here is a pic of mine mounted, similar to what ironman is selling:

Macman, thanks for sharing.

I just noticed that's a Hanning. Is it a 30º? I really like that Ironman's version is an 8º, but might have a need for something between 8-60 in the future.

You guys should modify the brackets to put the bar in line with the big gaps in the grill instead of through the mesh.

You get a lot more useable light from the bar. I found this out while making my own lights, I had the spacing wrong and they were about 1/2" too low and there was a pretty clear difference in the beam pattern on a wall I had the truck pointed at.

If you can get those apart easily, and the lens cover is just flat plastic, you can buy Optix or Lexan sheet from Home Depot and cut/break your own to have tinted ones. Optix gives better light transmission, but, is brittle more like glass(but still much stronger). Lexan is slightly less efficient at light transmission, but, is super durable and easier to work with. Important if you had to drill holes in it. If they don't have the proper thickness, you can order it from places online in whatever thickness you want and even in transparent colors(I saw red/blue/yellow/green) when I was looking.

This is just pactra blue candy paint for RC car bodies;

Or, yellow Krylon stained glass paint:

Good to know. From what we've been told, SDHQ has two 40" bar brackets, one that centers like you said, and then one that is slightly higher for guys with winches.

I ordered the lower mount. I figured I could use spacers between the light and the mount if I want it higher to shine through the slot below the FORD letters. If you start with the higher mount, you can't really go down.

Mine is set as well in the big gap between the FORD letters and mesh.

At that height it is a snug fit with these light bars and the brackets of the front grill since they go on a tapper.
I have maybe 1/8 gap so it just fits. Mine had to be this high as well because of the winch but she fits perfect.

I received my SDHQ mounting bracket and must say that it's very nice. Just waiting for all the Chinese to get back to work after a long new year celebration. I should have probably asked earlier, but the 40" light does include the 4 adjustable mounting studs on the bottom of the light like seen in the attached photo, right?

Do you carry the 50"? I've been thinking of getting some Nfab roof mounts and don't have a desire to spend money on the name brands
