1st Camping Trip

My boys and I went on our first camping trip ever abouta month ago. Ages 7, 8, 10. I had to wait until they were older to be a little more self sufficient sinceit was just us four. Anyway we went to French Meadows Campground near Lake Tahoe. The main road to get there was closed. At some point I put 4x4 roads on my GPS and we ended taking the scenic route. Pictures are from when the trail was still what I would consider to be a road. I don't have any experience in trails so I was white knuckling it for quite some time. It was fun but I'm glad I didn't see another vehicle once we got on the trail. There was no turning back. No pictures of that portion because I was supper stressed out.

We had lots of fun and we'll be planning our next trip soon. This was just to get our feet wet and see if they actually like to camp. I haven't camped myself for around 20 years. It was a good last little vacation before they headed back to school.
