I don't have a pic right now but my 2017 with 26000 miles isn't changing color but all the paint is coming off. I have lots of salt to deal with during the summer and the only good way to clean out under the truck is with a pressure washer. My pipes are virtually bare steel. I also considered...
Not to be argumentative but my experiences with service there have been good. My Raptor is the third F150 I've purchased from them. With that said we must always remember that it is a dealership and sometimes the best dealer can't help but act like a car salesman.
But the original question was...
Low battery warning when backing up "as builts"
I ran into a hitch while attempting to backup the as built modules today. This was my first time attempting this procedure. So I clicked and high lighted the APIM module and clicked the run arrow. After acknowledging the warning banner the...
Hey Lightman, where is this car wash? I usually wash by hand in the driveway but as you know we've seen well below freezing and way above normal salt this season.
I hear you. I came from a 2006 scab with 6.5' bed so no real issue with that. The raptor scab is 5.5' bed meaning 133 in. wheelbase vs 145. Add (subtract) aluminum body handling is bound to be different. Not to bash the truck because I love this thing. Just wish I could keep it glued to the...
I have a Scab with 2800 miles (all highway) and it bounces all over the road when encountering expansion joints. No big deal when going straight but cornering is down right scary. I haven't lowered the tire pressure yet (42 per the TPMS reading). Someone else has a thread on this same...
Speaking of Txt Messages
I can only display/listen to txt messages sent to me only. If a message has multiple recipients it does not download from the phone to the Sync system. Any thoughts? Is that something that is configurable?
Yes on front stake pockets
There are indeed front stake pockets lurking under the plastic rail caps. Obviously there are no pop out covers like the rear but the pockets are there. You can find a nice Youtube video along with "where to buy" info for cutting the plastic cap here...
Small additions
Just to support my Hang Gliding habit I needed to add some racks. Rhino Rack on the roof (nice but a little bulky on the posts), temporary 2x4 rear rack because the wind got good before the TracRac rails arrived on Sunday. Mud flaps and Baja Design fogs next.
Agreed. I may have to go that route.

That's a nice looking rack but doesn't quite fit my application. Thanks for sharing it. I only need/want the rear cross bar. Still considering adapting the TracRac...
I'm looking for options for a rear rack system that uses the stake pockets. I already have a tonneau cover installed that doesn't allow me to use a clamp on style rack. My application is to carry a hang glider which is roughly 17 feet long and 20 inches in diameter. It needs support in two...
You're right!
Right on the money, Hamster. This thing is amazing. And I've only driven 15 miles! Everything I expected and more. Although the hood comes up to my chin. I'll need a step stool to check the oil. Only complaint is the dealer detail guy should be fired. Side mirrors covered...
The Raptor has landed!
My Raptor arrived at the dealership Thursday 5/11. Of course I was away on vacation (bowling in Vegas) and haven't taken delivery yet. But I did get some pics yesterday. I apologize for the quality.
