Apparently most of you guys are very off on what the actuall profit margin is on exporting these trucks, in reallity a broker here in the U.S. only makes a couple grand per vehicle. I have been doing export for years and the mosti have ever made on one vehicle was 20 grand profit, and that was a brand new '14 range rover. It's really not as lucrative as you guys are thinking, and to all that our offering their raptors for sale, I appreciated the response but they have to be brand new with under 100 miles on them.

It's 2200 dollars per 40 ft container. You can put two in one of those. Plus you have to truck it to the port, which could be anywhere from 600-1500 dollers per vehicle.

That's exactly it. As much as I hate the idea of some joker making a quick buck by taking allocation away from people who want to buy and actually drive them in the states, this memo basically outlines the fact that Ford is getting away with Price Fixing. I'm sure their lobbyists have gotten all the laws put into effect so that it's technically legal, but that's what it is. This type of practice would be illegal in any other (read smaller, with less $$ and less lobbyists) industry.

A single company can't be guilty of price fixing. Now if the big three all got together and colluded on the price of trucks, that would be price fixing. Otherwise it's good old capitalism.. Supply and demand the way the market is supposed to work.

I don't know 15-20 sounds like a bit of a stretch... My guess is that that would be max allocation throughout the year for the biggest of dealers. When you think about around 15k made in a year, 15-20 in one place at one time is a huge deal. Hijack a transport truck..maybe? but yeah, you can have our heavily modded, lightly off-roaded custom wrapped 2012 for $99,995. Its a steal of a deal!

So why are you here again? We actually drive our Raptors. Some of us even get them dirty. Why don't you just roll on down the internet highway to Cars.com or AutoTrader.com or BlastOffTroll.com
