Personally I think it's good practice to release pics and details of failures so that consumers can understand the limitations of products.

Sure... But only if the owner chooses like Wilson said. We haven't aired dirty laundry in the past, out of respect for each other, the owners, and to be honest there's not a "need" to.

Any product should be sold on its merits, not by making the "other" brand look bad by posting underhand secret pics of obscure failures with unknown causes or scope.

Hey Matt you really want to go there with that dirty laundry list? For the sake of not pissing on vendors and ruining this thread why don't you check you facts. I can sit here and itemize your out right lies but I don't have the time or effort. Keep it classy San Diego...

Wow... Expected more from you, Gordon.

I've seen, but not posted pics of:

- YOUR truck with National Springs so sacked it was riding on the bump stops

- 2 bent RPG kits at Connors shop, pulled off trucks that switched to Outlaws kit

- National Springs sacked and "W" shaped on Greg McManus truck

- Broken upper shock mount when testing a set of Fox 3.0's

- Bypass tube broken off rear Fox 3.0 shocks because of poor location on shock

I also hear about Dylan in the Icon truck, passing the RPG truck on a huge set of whoops... Did you hear that?

There's professional courtesy, and then there's dirty laundry that people usually just don't post because they know better... But if people want to start playing ****-**** games, we can play along.

Is that what RPG/Fox/E63 want?

I guess I hit a nerve. Sorry bud. this was sent to me and I did not know whose truck it was and was interested in learning more, isn't that what this is all about. No I haven't heard much at all about the trip.

I have never hid any of the many many mistakes and failures I have had in this journey /adventure in building, breaking, testing, improving my rig. Even when the mistakes were pure mental breakdown - see post of "The mystery of the disappearing cooler" as an example.

I don't have any personal agenda, I just want to go out and have fun and improve my truck thats the only reason I ever visited these forums in the first place. Then I found a bunch of folks passionate about this too.

Furthermore I have never bashed Outlaw, in fact just the opposite I have posted positive things about them.

Sorry your truck had a problem, that is the nature of mechanical things, they break, it happens, get over it.

Glad to hear you had a great time in MX, looking forward to hearing more.

Feel free to check the list... My point is that I have pictures of EVERY item I listed, and that is a fact. Posting them without describing the circumstances, reasoning, or justification would be reckless and inappropriate... Hence the reason it's NEVER BEEN DONE.

Gordon, you know full well that wasn't a "I'm curious what happened" post... It's a flat out BS attempt at making what you consider a rival product look bad. Yes, you've posts some woes, but a cooler isn't the same as a shock market with multiple companies competing for owner's business.

You weren't there, you didn't take the pic, you have NO BUSINESS posting it. I can only assume Corey or Brian took the pic when we were all out, and sent it to you, because nobody else on the run would have give a crap.

It's childish, and frankly beneath all of us.

If Theresa wants to share the pic and clarify the circumstances that caused it, them leave that to her... This WASN'T my truck, just to be clear.

Like I said, I'm surprised you would do that... Lame.

Good to see 3.0's delivering the goods and allowing us to push the parts to their breaking point. Who cares if it's a RPG fox shock or an icon, the bottom line is we can go faster and shit breaks. Isn't that what it's all about?

As far as the jabs about passing certain trucks in the whoops.... I didn't know that the "FRF Shock Rival Beef Thread" is the newest class in SCORE. Did they know they were racing? Geese guys....

Charlie, you're 100% correct...

Any raptor owner would have been smiling ear to ear, blown away at what these trucks can do after seeing them fly through these whoops at freeway speeds. Any aftermarket shocks help, but its the truck that deserves the credit in the end. Amazing!

First time I've been thinking "This is too fast without a cage" haha

I’m absolutely blown away this kind of shit bends people out of shape so bad. All these shocks were designed by a human, who inputted their ideas into a computer and in the end, crapped out a shock for the Raptor world to drool over. Everyone one of them has had their issues, and hopefully all the shock manufactures are learning from these experiences and bettering their product. I personally feel whatever the motivation is behind releasing these types of pics don’t really matter because this kind of stuff always gets out one way or another. I know Gordon to be a very good family man who craves learning about things and doesn’t mind pointing out both his own mistakes, and others. If Icon has a 10 cent seal that’s blowing, no biggy they will fix it. If it turns out that it’s a larger issue, I have no doubt they will get to the bottom of it just as Fox and King do with issues that they see come up. Lord knows RPG has made our fair share of mistakes. The key is learn from it, fix it and move on.

With regards to the run itself, I wasn’t at the event so I really have no idea what all the drama and hoopla is about. If a truck running Icons passed an RPG truck in a big whoop section then I guess we have two ways to approach it. Option A, get back to the drawing board and make sure we better our products to stay ahead of the pack, or B, chalk it up to the fact Corey drives like a little old lady and will take 10 lashings from me tomorrow for letting such a thing happen. Either way, both are unacceptable in my mind.

Some things were said by BlueSVT that can easily be answered but I have neither the time, nor desire to sit here and address them anymore because the vast, and I mean the vast majority of them are complete horse shit and unfounded with pure malice behind them. Bottom line, we all drive the same truck, we all have the same passion, and we all yearn to make them go faster. At the end of the day, I’m glad to hear you guys and gals all made it home safe and sound and I look forward to hanging out with everyone in Texas as one big dysfunctional family.

No malice... Just an example of the "other side" that could be posted with unfounded reasons, but hasn't because we're all better than that.

I'm done... I've expressed my opinion on E63's tactics, and I'm good. No pictures will be posted, just saying we can ALL find weaknesses and failures, and most of those products have since been improved and redesigned (National Springs and RPG products included)...

So stupid to post shit like that, when you're not involved in the issue.
