Production at the Dearborn Truck Assembly Plant will increase from two Raptors per hour to three Raptors per hour.*

By our count, that could mean yearly sales numbers approaching 15,000 units by the end of 2012, barring any major issues with the price of fuel or other domestic (or foreign) economic turmoil. No matter what happens, this far exceeds the numbers Ford was talking about at the beginning of Raptor's launch.

To date, the SVT Raptor has the lowest turnover rate of any Ford vehicle in their stable, with vehicles averaging less than 21 days from factory production to the time the vehicle is recorded as a sale.*"

I have a feeling it'll follow a trend similar to HD's and Lightnings.

Gen 1 HD's:
2000- 8,197

I'm really interested to see the final 2011 Raptor numbers. Does anybody know the exact number of 2010's? I believe it was just over 10k. I bet 2011 tops 2010 by a couple thousand with the addition of the screw option, and I bet 2012 tops both previous years, then I think it'll start to taper off a slight amount for 2013 and however long they continue to build them. I think a lot of it is by the 3rd year the word is really out there about the vehicle, and guys who couldn't afford it when they very 1st came out, had a bit of time to save up and snag one up. And by the 3rd year people figure more bugs have been worked out and are less hesitant to buy one, especially at the prices they go for.

Awesome. They did well considering they were initially only going to do a run of 6000 of em.

I say the less the better. Keeps the resale value high and makes it so that not every jo schmoe is driving one.

That is not always the case. Who knew that a purpose built vehicle would sell!? There were only 5,000 MKIV VW R32s in the US yet there are multiple s/c's, turbo setups, endless suspension options, etc etc etc. Car companies need to get their heads out of their asses and build exciting cars again. Innovation and beauty will bring buyers. The Raptor has both so people are willing to sacrifice on price/economy.

Oh I see but I don't see that just because it's a special Golf means that it is rare. We have over 30 variations of the 911 and some of them are considered rarer than others but for the most part the parts are the same.
