Hi guys, dumb question...but I got the 40" bar for my add bumper, and I'd like to use the factory switches. What is the wiring setup for this? There is a blue, red, and black wire. I imagine the red/black to directly to the battery, and blue to a switch? Yes no?

Thanks!

Look for a number of dedicated posts on this subject. If I had more time I would look for you.
It is not just the wires under the hood , you will haVe to splice them in the right / passenger kick panel by the interior fuse box.
Get ready for and exercise
In patience and contortioun skills. AUTO WIRE STRIPER AND good wire splices or a good solider
gun and heat shrink are a must.

You have three wires? I have the 40" from RIGID and I had a RED and BLACK. The switches are all pre-wired and you don't need to do anything but hook the RED from the light to the proper color under the hood for the corresponding switch. BLACK to ground. That's it.

Swoop : I have 4 wires for 4 switches . Are you saying your wires under the hood were ready to go from the factory ? If so you are very lucky.

I know many of us had to trim these out in the right side kick panel.

Now looking at this in the morning I guess he may be trying to use the head light switch. Just can't imagin this as you could not drive around with that light on.

No, mine were not ready to go while under the hood. Implied tasking to get them done is to connect them behind the glove box.

This thread should have everything you need between myself and Ducati. If you can't figure it out from there, forget about wiring it yourself.
