Anyone change the front diff oil

Has anyone tried to change their front diff oil?

It looks like a bitch to do since the steering rack seems to be in the way.

I suppose that its probably ok since the front diff doesn't get any action unless its in 4x4. But with 87K miles I think its probably time.

There was no room to get the cover off of the front diff on my Ranger (I looked and the Raptor is a little better, but still not enough room). My solution was to suck the old oil out with a hand-held pump (similar to a soap dispenser).
