I picked some extra cheep recovery blocks and tree savers and shackles. Was worth the investment. Need to invest in extra line. My winch got a work out on Tuesday. Had to go get a friend. Had to turn my truck 180 in the mud with the help of the winch. It was a bit ugly but worked well. Snatch blocks wher handy.

Quite a few have the recon 10,500lb winch. I haven't heard of any complaints. They offer a 17,500lb but I'm not sure how well it'll fit

I like the synth rope because I can stand right next to it and not worry about it cutting me in half if it breaks. As for 10,500 being enough for our trucks. The rule of thumb is 1.5 x the vehicle weight. Which puts me right around 10500.
