Advice on used 5.4 Raptor

Hey lady's and gents,

I need some advice! I am currently looking to buy a 2010 Raptor with the 5.4. The truck is in fantastic shape. It currently has 88k on it. I need to know if any common issues with this model year or engine. I know about the spark plug issue which can still happen, but and help or advice for things to look for before I drop 33k on it would be great!

I think $33K for a 2010 with 88K is too much. Other than that I'd be looking for signs of off roading. How do the shocks look? It's close to needing all it's fluids changed if it hasn't had it already. Did you check the Carfax on it? Maintenance records? Considering you can get a new F150 for that kind of coin... Granted, not a Raptor but still. You plan on off roading much yourself?

Third brake light leaks
Power Steering can have issues
Tranny can have issues

I know there have been a free threads on what to look for when picking up one of the 2010 or 11 raps.

Seems like $33k is too much for a 2010 with that amount of miles but I could be wrong. I'm still amazed at how these are hold there values.

Yup, plan on doing some off-roading, also ride dirt bikes, so the extra ground clearance and not to mention it tuff as nails! Most of the Raptors I am seeing are hold their values like crazy! Most likely because Ford won't make them again until 2016. I guess I will keep hunting. I really appreciate the responses. I am a former Master Tech turned corporate monkey, so I know my way around a truck.

If there asking 34k online I would shoot them a 27-29k offer. Worst they can do is say no.
