Get it on a stick and go for a drive. It will figure itself out in the background

I checked owner.ford.com and found the update waiting for me. I downloaded and installed via the normal process going from 2.3. No problems at all.

This right here. Just log onto owner.ford.com and do it through official channels. Mine is downloading now.

Anyone know what the file they want you to upload back contains. It seems like its reporting back quite a few details about ECU settings. Not just successful update.

Updated last evening just fine after downloading from the owner.ford.com. Not really noticing any improvements as yet though.

Same. Buy a flash drive, take the time, do the update. Hey, new logos for Sirius and a few inputs. Try to browse my iPod, hopeful...still INDEXING, will not allow a browse of even freaking playlists! Totally absurd, Ford.

I just called Ford about it...the indexing is a known issue going back years. The tech rep suggested I download the "Sync My iTunes" software from the Ford owner site. So, I tried. The software will not even download...tried on both firefox and chrome...redirects to the owner login page every time. Ridiculous.

Again, I'm not trying to play some bobo mp3 player I got at Big Lots...it's an iPod classic, and iPods are the most dominant personal music player in modern human history. That Ford can't make an infotainment system that interfaces with it smoothly is astounding. Every other car my wife or I have owned for the past at least 6-7 years could do it, and took seconds to access playlists, genres, etc.
