Noise when opening a door (engine off)

What is the noise that I hear when opening doors with the engine turned off? Sounds like a small electrical motor...

High pressure fuel pump. All DI vehicles do it.

Exactly. Seems strange for a fuel pump to turn on (I assume to charge the system) when I open the back passenger side door. Get's annoying when working not the vehicle or cleaning. Maybe it won't do it if I take my FOB out of the car... haven't tried that one yet.

Mine does it after the lights turn off. Since the parking lights come on every time the door is opened, it happens every time the door is opened.

Are we sure it's a fuel pump?
