My truck with Whipple 2nd Gen with 47lb injectors and headers make 545 RW with safe tune (emission legal). Now I'm waiting for JDM to finalize the set up of 3Gen SC and depend on performance we will decide if i stay with 47lb injectors or 60lb .to be clear its ez to gain the HP but I'm looking for emission legal and safe tune .

Stock cats still in the truck I assume?

I would prefer to not go to catless unless I absolutely had to. Ended up with a love hate relationship with my old Lightning that had LT's and highflows/catless exhaust. Sounded great but was too ******* loud to have fun without attracting attention.

Who are you going with for tuning the Whipple? Someone local or email via a supporting vendor on here?

I may flip to a whipple too lol

Most kits I've seen have the 60lbs for the Stage 2 whipple package which has 11psi.
The 9 psi kit has the 47s.

I’m running the whipple tune. They have stepped their game up in the last few years it’s nothing like the beginning.
Worst case I have 2 good tuners her but I’m pretty confident the new whipple tune will be good and safe

You have Roush now?

Isn’t the whipple kit Carb approved? I hope so cuz my truck is going to need smog this year I think.

Not yet. Will decide by Friday on which supercharger to go with.

Yea, always have been hesitant with canned tunes but that comes from a decade+ ago during the Lighting era where guys would have those canned tunes blow their engine on a simple pulley swap. Good to hear Whipple has done a better job via their tunes.

I am not 100% on this yet as I am not running it yet still waiting for them to ship. but I have heard good things for more than one person.
I never liked canned tunes cuz they were weak still ,lol I didn't know they were popping motors yikes.
I will stick it on the dyno before and after and make sure the air to fuel is correct at least.
im "guessing" at worst I am leaving power on the table with the whipple/ford tune. I cant see them taking chances and pushing the limits to far. but that's just me guessing.

failed? damn did the "stuffing" for lack of better word come loose and clog the pipe?

side note it "looks" like my kit will be shipping end of next week. Whipple is 4 hours from me so I should get it very fast like that next Monday.

I have 40k miles on truck anything other than oil pump gears should be changed while install is going on?

Damn I have added pulleys - cams - throttle bodies even heads to existing motors but never have I bolted up 200HP at 1 shot. this is going to be nuts. my other cars will be getting my mod money for awhile but I will get Brembos sooner or later. I just wished there was a happy medium and not have to go full brembo GTs so I could try and sneak it in sooner.
what are you guys doing for brakes with all this HP in a big damn truck?

LOL our trucks are something like this 0-60 in 4.2 seconds and 60-0 in 12 .7 seconds lol gotta fix that

Leaning towards the Roush 650 kit+ billet gears as well.

Got another day to decide...lol Damn Whipple is tempting too.
