rear blinker issue...dafuq is this?

The resistors are usually there to provide the proper resistance to the computer in the truck so it doesn't think the tail lights are out. LED's don't have internal resistance like incandescent bulbs do, so unless your car knows to correct for that certain things don't work right. Things like the blinkers and the cruise control. I don't think it's really rocket science which resistor you have on there; you can get generic resistors for LED tail lights at any auto parts store that has LEDs. Something like this:

But if you are planning on getting new tail lights they will come with everything you need.
