Ended up ordering the

KICKER CompRT 8"(20cm) Subwoofer, DVC, 4-ohm​

May as well get 50% more wattage

ok got the new Kicker sub, I'm assuming everyone had to open up the sub box opening, or did you guys use an mdf spacer?

Installed it today

Used a 3D printed spacer since the sub wouldn’t fit the stock opening

Wired this 4 ohm DVC in parallel so I’d get the 300w from the amp









Plenty of space between the sub and the seat


The sound output is less than the OEM setup - what could be wrong? Getting sound - but routing through the original amp wires to the new amp

I stripped the other end and used these wire to RCA adapters

from the wiring diagram here's how I setup



the outs were pretty simple from the AMP
(+) went to my red wire
(-) went to my black wire
