Decent ouput goals for a little 4-banger diesel, 220hp/380tq.

Why in the hell are diesels so much more heavy and by roughly how much? Is it because the combustion is more violent and requires stronger materials? Never had a diesel because the american automotive corporations or government, whichever, sucks and hasn't allowed them in anything other than house pulling vehicles.

I'm no mechanic, I can take it apart and put it back together but you will have some extra parts left over...guaranteed.

That sums it up. Most have a CR between 17:1 and 22:1 and then dumping 15-20 (or more) psi of boost on top of that. Takes a lot of cast iron to handle all of that.
