Currently stuck on the road !!

Is it fixed yet? I'm wondering what the problem ended up being.

    Interior build quality

I have to agree with your initial post. First of all, what happened to the days of expecting quality craftsmanship from any car company? They are selling consumers their vehicles because they believe in their own product. I understand they have to cut corners to keep the price in check, but...

    Aux switches

So are the aux switches prewired to various things on the truck or are they blanks that can be wired to add ons? How hard is it to wire these switches up to something?

GEN 2 Wall of Shame Greedy FORD Dealers. Call them out!

I got a PM from an employee at Westway Ford in Irving, Tx who said they had Raptors but couldn't sell them at MSRP. But they would be happy to sell one to me for only $7k over MSRP. I had to laugh.

    Transmission problem

I hate seeing stories like this, especially when the truck is just off the lot with less than 1,000 miles on it. It makes me skeptical as heck of the 2017's and doubtful that such transmission problems will be fixed in the 2018's. Seriously, if you spend $70,000+ on a new vehicle, the damned...

Shouldn't the code stay in memory even after the CEL goes off?

    Researching new Raptors vs Used

That's a shame that they dropped the V-8 ecoboost for 2018. I was looking forward to it. I'm skeptical of the V-6 being able to deliver enough towing power. I hope I can be proven wrong. And then there is the aluminum body... I'm not sure whether I trust that just yet. For example, I see...

    Researching new Raptors vs Used

I've decided to wait until the 2018s debut so I can get the EcoBoost V8 engine. Will get the blue jeans or magnetic color (haven't decided yet) if they are still available. This will be, by far, the most expensive vehicle I've ever bought so I'm hoping the quality will be top notch.

    Buying Used advice

I've decided that I'll be looking at used Gen 1's. The 2018 engine options sound nice, but there are just too many quality issues that I've seen posted with the Gen 2's that should have been caught by Ford quality control.

    GEN 2 Quality Issues

I'd like to keep this thread going and will bump it. Maybe I should start a new thread for what I'm about to ask... But I'd like to know specifically what I should check on the truck when I'm at the dealership. So far it looks like I should check the undercarriage for rust, puddles beneath the...

    Discouraged?

Why is that? I'm just curious. Is it because it's a Raptor or something else, like the new aluminum bodies?

    raptor dealers to avoid

Id like to add Westway Ford in Irving, Texas. Selling a 2017 Raptor for $7,000 over MSRP. When I called and asked if they would sell at MSRP they refused to budge, saying that everyone wants one and demand is too high to justify the MSRP price.

    Discouraged?

I'm in the DFW area and just checked the Bill Utter website. Looks like that Raptor is already gone. :(

    Researching new Raptors vs Used

I'm curious as to what Raptor owners think of the legacy 8 cylinder engines versus the twin turbo V6's on the 2017 models and the aluminum bodies. I love the look of the 2017's but I'm skeptical of the V6 engine. I honestly can't decide if I want a new one or a used Raptor. Price isn't an issue...

Planning to buy a Ford Raptor

I've been doing some research on 2017 Raptors. I've seen listed prices going from 68,895 up to 78,360. Depends on the packages and options you want. What are your wants/needs in a new Raptor?

    MSRP Raptor

I'm in the DFW area. Most of the dealerships I'm looking at are selling their Raptors over the MSRP. For example, this one: https://www.westwayford.com/new/Ford/2017-Ford-F-150-1735c27e0a0e0a6b35902c2012ff6ba2.htm MSRP 69,260 and they want 75,260. Greedy SOBs. I won't be paying over the...
