Toadster, You recently did sound deadening in your doors ? maybe something knocked loose or pinched. if works from the drivers door ,maybe the circuit for the window lockout is compromised somehow. just a thought buddy

Those 3 shops do know that aluminum doesn't rust ? There probably just afraid to mis-drill which is somewhat understandable if they lack confidence. NE ford suggested crazyhouse off of RT1 in central jersey, they are close to where I work, very reputable and probably could get it done for you.

On some cars ,generally the european models I believe. It'll even sense steering wheel movements to determine if your tired (wandering and constant correcting) . actually a great safety feature.
