Hey yes i did install it myself it was pretty simple and straight forward. The only tool that I had to find was a "star head" for one of the bolts. If you are thinking of doing the intake you will need a tune also. I went with 5 Star Tune by Mike. Together it was like 700-800 I think. He will also send you a cover for the intake box if you think the sound of the intake is too much. I personally dont use it unless Im gonna do a big offroad session. There are instructions that come with the intake and if you do the tune with it Mike sends instructions for a Raptor with pics I believe. I didn't ever run my truck with out a tune so I donno what just the intake does but the tune and intake wake the truck up 10x haha
