Good plan, and seems I'm not the only one who is thinking like you are. My 2011 6.2 does not have that many miles on her yet; with that kind of window (can remain 'undecided' until 3-4 years from now), might be time to put some $$ into her.....just wish there was a shop a little closer out here...
Hey Ruger....have you been able to fix the problem yet? I ran into a similar situation briefly where my USB thumb wasn't recognized [but it had been fine up until then]. In my case, just shut down truck and audio, started truck up, inserted USB drive...waited until the drive was finished (music...
I've got the factory rubber mat in my scab....not as thick as the factory one I had in my 2002 FX4 Lariat (scab also), but seems to be fine and others above found it to be pretty durable.
OK, I'll be different......I'd go with the matte black.....love that look on my bikes. OTOH, if I'm buying the desert tan-camo-type color, I'm takin' it a little further [credit to 6.2 for the pic in a Photoshop thread]....
:hail: Thank you, thank you! Brought my 2011 in for a small service a month or so ago....had honestly never seen the gear indicator before on the panel. Got the truck back, voila.....there it was. Here I'm thinkin' they updated something during the service.....when all they updated was my...
For the folks with the RPG stage 3 mods.......did you go with the STD or Heavy Duty leaf spring set. Planning on having the mid-perch done on the front and the RPG 3 on the rear.....did not realize the STD spring set drops the rear by up to 1.5 inches....would rather not lose rear height if I...
Glad everyone got out all right.....could have been more of a disaster than it already was. What a shame.....such a nice truck. Hope Hennessey jumps on this one real quick....although it may not be due to their modifications (benefit of the doubt), those pics are pretty damning.
Shell 93; every once in a while will run Chevron (91 or 93, can't remember which it is around here). In an emergency, as long as it is from one of the "top tier" sellers, that'll work in a pinch.
nos.....I think maybe you made a typo here or something? Not much point in converting a lossy mp3 format to a lossless format. AFAIK there's little, if anything, to gain from going in that direction?
There is.....AFAIK, it's only for charging and file transfer.....it's also used as the LINE IN for a microphone. 'Course I could transfer files to the HDD in the trucks, but they're FLAC and AFAIK the truck software won't support it :(
'Appreciate the questions, as I'm sure there's something...
Only thing you can alter on output settings (other than volume, etc.) is whether to output to "headphones" or use the unit's quite useless internal speaker.
So I finally tried out my iAudio J3 player [like an iPod for those not familiar with iAudio] in the truck yesterday, running it through the Sync Line-In. While there was sound and it was OK, it was nothing like I expected from this player [I've had it for over a year, sounds fantastic when...
Love it....also use it to dry off my bikes when I get caught in the rain.....does a nice job getting the water from between the cylinder fins. The one I have blows heated air, but it's not really necessary. It's actually too powerful IMHO, so you have to be careful not to get the hose too close...
I hear ya. I use something called a Black Baron (kind of like the Metro Blasters), but leaf blowers work well too. Sure makes washing the truck less of a "task". Don't worry, the OCD thing wears off after a while :)
"Spray glaze" looks interesting. Ever try a "waterless" car wash? Thread on waterless washes a while back. There's a few, I currently use Optimum No Rinse (ONR).....works like a charm but, as you mentioned with the stuff you use, it's for "in between" washes and for maintenance only. I was...
