GROUP BUY: Apollo Optics Satellights!

I gave up on them yesterday. After cutting into the windshield cowling, chipping the edge of the hood, and then stripping out the bolt hole I just quit while I was ahead...well not really ahead but you know what I mean. I am going to try and find longer bolts before I try again. I think they are a little bit too short and didnt have enough to grab onto when It was just about tight enough. I also need to find a better tool to work those back bolts, maybe an angled wrench or something? And I really thought the electrical aspect of this project was going to be the hard part! Next weekend...2nd attempt. On a positive note: the lights are great, really solid and the quality is definetly there. I was very impressed with the packaging too.

Jay, a ratchet with a short extension and swivel on it helps tremendously. Definitely get a buddy to help with the hood as well. That or an angled wrench. Either way, it is going to take some time so just go slow.

Any eta on Covers for these? Would love to put 3 in my SDHQ bumper but really need blue and amber lens covers for them.

Crap... I missed this thread.... I'm wanting to get an RPG bumper and put 8 4.5's across the front... Would have been awesome to same some dough on that.

Would it be easier to remove the hood from the hinges? That way there is no weight or tension on the hinge brackets when trying to attach the hood mount brackets.
