Hey everyone I was working with a friend of mine who owns a firearms business with a cnc to do a custom replacement of the hood vents. We just decided to try it and see how it works out. Plan is to get them milled and then cerakote them fo the finish. I figured I would see if anyone else had any interest in getting a set. I am not sure what the cost is going to be but will update the thread as info comes in.

I planning on making the inlet on the hood bigger to get more airflow in the engine bay and help my hellion twin turbo kit have some cooler air to breathe

Well okay, somebody's going to ask. How much, and what are the Cerakote options?

BTW, if your turbos are breathing from under the hood you're in a LOT of trouble! If you mean that they might benefit from cooler under-hood temperatures, yeah.

The hood vents if that's what you want to call them are worthless, they are more designed to relive pressure on the hood at speed, so you don't break the fiberglass hood.
There are some guys drilling extra holes in hood part, haven't heard anything if there's a problem with doing that.

They would not suck in air at anytime but would expel some heat when the radiator fans are on or driving, same goes for the side vents.

But let us know how it turns out I'm subscribed.

MTF is correct, the hood vents are there to get rid of the hood pressure, and extract the heat, while in motion, I'm one who made the factory holes bigger, and the MOD was created by WIZ1500, the only time you can tell is when your at speed, and use your wippers, you can see the differance with the washer fluid, from stock to opening them, I would think if they were ment to take in air, the louvers would be facing forward, but its awesome to have that machining skill.
