Dumb question... Can you run the SVT beadlock wheels without the beauty ring installed?

Bout to pick up a set and want to have the beauty ring powder coated but not sure if I should wait to install the wheels/tires till after I have the ring done. Didn't know if I could just take the ring off and send to the shop or the whole thing would be outta commission. Thanks.

You can run it with out the beauty ring installed. You will likely get some dirt and stuff into the tapped holes for the beadlock but you can clean those out when reinstalling the ring.

I know that you can physically mount the tire to the rim without the beauty ring however; I don't know if its a good idea to operate the vehicle like that. There is a possibility that the beauty ring provides some structural integrity to the wheel at the outer edge. Loads can be very high on the outer wheel edge (hence the point of beadlocks).

I drove my truck around for 2 weeks without the beauty locks while they were getting powder coated. They aren't functional at all, just aesthetic. Be sure to chase the threads because they use a thread locker from the factory that gums the holes all up.

I understand what you're saying. But Those rings are not providing and structural support.
